Outdoor Education at the International School Hout bay - Geocashe

Outdoor Education

This week, weather permitting, we

will be placing our very own geocache

on the mountain. Our hike

will take us up Bokkemanskloof and

around toward Skoorsteenkop.

There is a cache at Skoorsteenkop

already, so we will be placing one on

an adjacent peak, somewhere with a

nice view of our beloved town of

Hout Bay.

We will not be able to go all the way

to Skoorsteenkop and back in the

amount of time we have, so a

shorter walk will have to do. The

walk will be very strenuous, with a

rather steep climb, starting with Blue

Valley Road and carrying on up the

mountain, and of course an equally

strenuous descent when negotiating

the same hills on the way back

down.
